SHERIDAN — For the next event in a series of outings celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act of 1964 and the 30th anniversary of the Wyoming Wilderness Act of 1984, the Wyoming Wilderness Association will host a workshop and campout in the Cloud Peak Wilderness.
On Friday, hikers will gather and camp at the Paint Rock Ranger Station and then hike out of the Paint Rock and Medicine Lodge Lakes on Saturday.
A Leave-No-Trace Awareness will be led by Lead Wilderness Ranger Donna Wilson.
Bring a picnic lunch and plan to spend time discussing the anniversary of wilderness areas.
The walk will be approximately six miles roundtrip.
