‘War Voices’ presentation scheduled for senior center

SHERIDAN — On Thursday Val Burgess will present “War Voices: Are You Listening?” at the Sheridan Senior Center.

This is a free presentation open to the public in honor of Veterans Day.

The program will share stories from prisoners of war starting at 1 p.m.

In addition, the senior center will pay tribute to the community veterans from Wednesday through Nov. 21 with a display in the lobby.

The community is invited to view tributes to those who have served beginning in World War II including interviews from over 120 veterans in the community.

The senior center hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

It is located at 211 Smith St. For more information contact the center at 672-2240.
