SHERIDAN — Jessie Underberg has signed on to play for the Sheridan College Lady Generals basketball team under head coach Frank McCarthy. She is McCarthy’s first official signee for the 2014-2015 season.
The 4.0 GPA athlete from Douglas will assist the Lady Generals with her 12-point per game average. Underberg completed her high school career with an average of three assists per game, a 33 percent shooting average from the 3-point line and a 75 percent average from the free throw line.
Underberg led Douglas High School to the 3A state championship, and was named All-State and All-Conference this year. Underberg was selected to play in the North-South All-Star game in Casper and was chosen for the Wyoming-Montana All-Star game in June.
“We are thrilled Jessie has decided to join our basketball program,” head coach Frank McCarthy said. “She is a winner with a really nice shooting touch. Jessie is an outstanding student, with a 4.0 GPA.”
Sheridan College finished the 2013-2014 season 19-13.
