Troopers swept in Wheatland

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Troopers were swept by Wheatland Sunday.

After dropping the first game 9-6 in Wheatland, they fell 11-1 in the second.

Sheridan (1-0, 7-7) plays their second league game of the season Tuesday night in Gillette against the Roughriders (15-15). After almost a month on the road, they’ll return home in  a week, June 11, for another game with the Roughriders. Both games are scheduled for 6 p.m.

That will be followed by their big trip to Omaha, Neb., where they’ll play a five-game tournament beginning June 14.
