SHERIDAN — The Tongue River boys golf team won a four-team tournament Friday in Moorcroft.
The Big Horn boys and girls teams each finished second at the event.
Denton Shaw of Lusk won the individual tournament with a 73. Eagles senior Wyatt Main led the way for his squad, finishing third with a 79. Casey Caywood tied for seventh with a 97, and Dylan Patterson and Brock Donston were tied for ninth with a 101.
For the Rams, Nick McAdoo was fourth after his 94 Friday. Jack Roberts took fifth with a 96 and Brody Bard was sixth with a 97. Barak Broad had the greatest score improvement with his 108 Friday.
For the Lady Rams, Kaleigh Anderson shot a 100 for third place, Madison Pehringer shot a 122 for sixth, and Madeline Craig was seventh with a 142.
Kylee Knoblock, a freshman and lone female golfer for the Lady Eagles, took 10 strokes off her game from Thursday in Sundance, shooting a 10th-place 149.
Big Horn head coach Mila Stender said her girls improved already after the first weekend, but that the Lusk girls are setting the bar high early on.
