• Pfc. Gary Curtis Foster, 20, of Sheridan, graduated from the U.S. Marine Corps basic training in San Diego, California, Aug. 8. Foster successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot as one of 51 recruits.

He will be home in Sheridan for 10 days leave, and then will report to Camp Pendleton in California where after two months he will be assigned a permanent duty station.

He is the son of Gary and Charlene Foster of Sheridan, a 2012 Sheridan High School graduate and a 2014 Sheridan College graduate.

• Air Force Airmen Celestial Alofipo graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio — Lackland in August.

She completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. She is the daughter of Tammy and Toso Alofipo of Kearns, Utah.

She earned an associate degree in 2008 from Sheridan College.
