SHERIDAN — The Sheridan High School tennis team finished a weather-shortened frst day of north regionals Friday in Casper.

All girls doubles teams lost, as everyone played 8-game pro-sets by two.

“The girls doubles just didn’t play well,” head coach Bob Faurot said.

He added that Katelyn Brooks, No. 2 singles, pulled out a nice 9-8 win and Julia Fenn, No. 1 singles, rolled as usual.

All of the boys, singles and doubles teams won and moved on, “and they all looked good and strong,” Faurot said.

Unless the weather improves and play is allowed to resume outdoors, Saturday’s bracket finals will not be played. In that case, seeds entering regionals would be used for next week’s state tournament in Gillette. This happened in the South Region, Faurot said.
