SHERIDAN — M.O.R.E Ministries, First Church of the Nazarene’s Native American ministry, will have their second annual “Stack the Packs” silent auction Saturday.
Stack the Packs is a back to school program partnering with families, churches and schools on Native American Indian reservations in Wyoming and Montana.
M.O.R.E. has ordered supplies for students on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming and is now working to help provide school supplies for students and teachers on the Northern Cheyenne and Crow reservations (Busby and Lodge Grass schools).
The funds raised at the auction will be used toward this effort.
The auction will be held at the First Congregational United Church of Christ at 100 W. Works St.
The silent auction is open from 1-4:15 p.m. Items on which to bid include artwork, gifts, gift certificates, a movie theater package, clothing, jewelry and more.
There will also be refreshments, a door prize drawing and music by the band Paskel from 3-5 p.m.
Photographs and information about the tribes on the Crow, Cheyenne, Wind River and Fort Peck Indian reservations will be on display.
Donation boxes for school supplies can also be found at ERA Carroll Realty Inc., Davis Gallery, the Meat Market, Sears, Affordable Maternity and More and Barbed Wire Living.
