SHERIDAN — The Sheridan High School golf teams finished third Friday in a tournament in Buffalo.
The boys shot 347 while the girls scored 319. Big Horn also attended, but did not place.
Sheridan’s Jack Mavrakis finished second with a score of 76 behind defending 4A champ from Riverton Easton Paxton, who scored 73.
Kayla Allen of Sheridan finished eighth with a score of 100.
“Each golfer improved from the last tournament in Worland,” Sheridan head coach Larry Martoglio said. “The team score was 10 strokes better than last weekend.”
Kaleigh Anderson of Big Horn finished 11th.
“All of the golfers improved their scores and are grasping their swings,” Big Horn head coach Mila Stender said. “Jack Roberts scored an 87 and that was the best he has done.”
The Sheridan team will compete Thursday at Douglas and Big Horn has a break until April 25 at Sundance.
