SHERIDAN — Kermit Wayne Ellis and Barbra Ellen Ellis recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

The couple wed Jan. 21, 1966, in the living room of the bride’s mother in Sheridan.

Wayne Ellis has had many occupations, including working for Burton Kerns at JK Quarter Circle Ranch in Parkman, Jersey Creamery and Decker Coal Mine. His is currently employed at Home Depot.

Barbra owned and operated a day care for 23 years, after which she worked briefly as a certified nursing assistant in home health care. She currently works independently as a home care aide.

The couple have two children: Shannon (David) Bretz of Great Falls, Montana, and Tamra (Lenny) Spaulding of Sheridan. They have five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
