SHERIDAN — Sheridan High School’s golf team had a strong start at conference Monday in Laramie.
So far, Cheyenne Central is leading the tournament for the boys side with a 298. Sheridan is sitting sixth with a 329.
Sheridan’s Jack Mavrakis is sitting in seventh place with a 75, only six strokes away from first place.
Teammate Alex Williams shot an 81 on the first day out, while Bailey Bonnett shot an 84 and Logan Johnson shot an 89.
Natrona is leading on the girls side with a 251. Sheridan is sitting third with a 314, behind Kelly Walsh.
Kayla Allen is sitting in 11th place with a 98 after the first day.
Teammate Katie Beardslee shot a 100, while Schylar Wallace shot a 116 and Abigail Ressler shot a 120.
“We will go out and see how we perform today,” Sheridan golf coach Larry Martoglio said. “I hope to see both teams improve and move up a spot.”
