SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Police received a report Monday that someone had apparently unplugged several school buses while they were parked at the Sheridan County School District 2 bus barn.
According to the police incident report, an individual would have had to climb over a fence into the bus parking area in order to unplug the bolt heaters on multiple busses.
SPD Sgt. Travis Koltiska said a complainant from the bus barn indicated the buses were probably unplugged between Friday and Monday. Koltiska said enough buses were parked inside that student services were not disrupted, and none of the unplugged buses were damaged.
Temperatures were below zero yesterday morning.
The incident report indicates the offender is believed to be a student not ready to return to school after the holiday break. The case remains under investigation.
