Lady Generals fall to Trinidad State

SHERIDAN — Sheridan College’s young soccer team fell 7-0 Friday night against Trinidad State Junior College.

“We fought hard and had some good opportunities on goal, we just lacked the ability to put it between the posts,” coach Stefan Skillman said.

Skillman added that the Lady Generals outshot their opponent by 15 shots in the second half.

“We took some risks when we were down 3-0,” Skillman said. “We did a good job and we never quit. We’ll keep working at it.”

The coach added that Eliza Woolf and Hartley Stewart played well for the Lady Generals, who face Otero Junior College today.

Sheridan College lost 3-0, bringing their record to 1-3-1.

“We moved the ball better in the second half and we got more opportunities, we just couldn’t put one in the back of the net,” Albers said.
