SHERIDAN — A presentation of Swedish folk music will be March 21 at the C-Tel Hall at Sheridan College
This presentation will include personal stories and Swedish folktales by Keri De Deo.
DeDeo is a classically trained violinist who lived in Sweden for one year while learning to play Swedish folk music on violin.
She teaches English at Sheridan College.
De Deo earned her MA in English composition, rhetoric and teaching English as a second language at the University of Wyoming.
She began playing violin at age 4. At 16, she studied in Sweden and played with one member of the Swedish folk music duo: Peter Westerlund.
Her Swedish fiddling music was recently presented on KZUM 89.3 in Lincoln, Neb.
