SHERIDAN — Cal Ruleman will present “Pliocene to Pleistocene Structural and Geomorphic Evolution of the San Luis Basin and Taos Plateau, Northern Rio Grande Rift” on Wednesday as part of the Sheridan College Museum of Discovery Science Lecture Series.
Ruleman will discuss one of his current research efforts, which seeks to unravel the recent geomorphic evolution of the Rio Grande rift system of northern New Mexico and southern Colorado, as well as the deglaciation history of central Colorado.
Ruleman is a research geologist in the Hazards Division of the United States Geological Survey. He holds a master’s degree in geology from Montana State University.
The discussion will be held in the Mohns Science Center at 7 p.m.
The presentation is free and open to the community.
