SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Press welcomed Sheridan County native Doug Sanders to its editorial staff Monday.

Sanders, a Story resident, graduated from Sheridan High School, earned an associates degree from Northwest College in Powell in drafting and design and a bachelor’s degree from Buffalo State College in New York in print media and graphic design.

He previously worked at the Buffalo Bulletin as a graphic designer.

Sanders will be tasked with improving the look and design of The Sheridan Press, the weekly arts and entertainment section SCENE and the newspaper’s special sections.

“We’re really excited to have somebody on staff who can focus on the look of the newspaper,” Sheridan Press Managing Editor said. “We have a great staff to produce content and Doug’s job will be to show that off.”
