SHERIDAN — Lucy LaRosa started work Tuesday as The Sheridan Press summer intern.

LaRosa is the daughter of Christopher and Laura LaRosa.

LaRosa graduated from Sheridan High School over the Memorial Day weekend and will work part-time with the Press through early August, when she’ll head to Florida to continue her education.

During her high school career, LaRosa represented Sheridan at Wyoming Girls State and participated in Sheridan’s Junior City Council.

She also served as the features editor for the Ock, Sheridan High School’s student newspaper.

LaRosa, who was born in Milan and loves speaking different languages and traveling, hopes to pursue both by pursuing a career in international relations journalism.

While interning with The Sheridan Press, LaRosa will cover a variety of topics, starting with several stories for the Sheridan-Wyo-Rodeo edition of Destination Sheridan magazine. She will also contribute to The Press arts and entertainment weekly section “Scene” and work to increase the paper’s social media presence.
