SHERIDAN — The Civic Theatre Guild will present “Polish Joke” at the Carriage House Theater, 419 Delphi Ave.

“Polish Joke” is a comedy by David Ives and is directed by Chip King.

The play is about ethnic identity and the eternal American search for roots.

Jasiu is a Polish-American who has been taught not to value his roots, so he decides to make his own roots. In the end Jasiu finds out who he is and what it means to be “a Pole.”

Performances are Nov. 1, Nov. 2, Nov. 8, Nov. 9, Nov. 15 and Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon performances are Nov, 3, Nov. 10 and Nov. 17 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors, students and active military.
