SHERIDAN — The Dog and Cat Shelter hosted their annual Pet-o-Ween pet costume contest on Saturday at Kendrick Park.

The event raised just under $1,000 this year.

First, second and third place winners were selected in three categories: funniest costume, scariest costume and most creative costume.

Several people competed in every category but the top winners were as follows:

Funniest costume: Deuce the German Short Haired Pointer dressed as “Slink” from Toy Story escorted by Luke Schreiber dressed as “Woody.”

Scariest costume: Daisey the Weimaraner dressed as an alligator escorted by Jamie Barkell.

Most creative costume: Gisele the Italian Greyhound dressed as a mouse trap escorted by Kessi Ortiz.
