September 18, 1924 – September 10, 2017 William Goodman, 92, of Sheridan, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at the Westview Health Care Center. Bill was born on September 18, 1924 to Henry and Katherine (Glantz) Goodman in Sheridan, WY. He married Norma Meinzer on December 27, 1948. He worked on the Adam’s ranch before going into the Army where he became a Staff Sargent. When he returned he worked for Burlington Northern and the Wrench Ranch. In 1948, he worked for the Box Cross Ranch until 1976. He then worked for Decker Coal for fourteen years as an equipment operator. Bill enjoyed the mountains, hunting, fishing, snow machining, horse pack trips and water skiing. He loved his family, kids and grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Norma, infant daughter, Diana Kay Goodman, grandson, Tuck Seeley, brothers, Henry Goodman, Jr., Walter Goodman, Robert Goodman, sisters, Geraldine Lower, Rose Zowada, Helen Hughes, Ann Vick, Rachel Schmidt and Freeda Kaufman. He is survived by his children, William D. Goodman of Sheridan, Susan R. Goodman of Sheridan, two grandchildren, Jeff (Denise) Seeley, Crystal (Bart) Taylor, four great grandchildren, Austin Seeley, Ashtyn Seeley, Samantha Taylor and Ryan Taylor. Memorials to honor Bill can be made to the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter at 84 East Ridge Road, Sheridan, WY 82801 or to the donor’s choice. A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Kane Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Jones officiating. A reception will follow in the Kane Reception Hall.
