Venita Jane Irion, age 83, passed way in Sheridan, Wyoming on Saturday, May 5, 2018. She was born on October 31, 1934 in Beach, North Dakota, the daughter of Christ and Anna Sherva. Venita Spent her early years in Ollie, Montana before moving to Baker, Montana where she graduated from high school. After graduation, Venita moved to Miles City, Montana where she was a telephone operator. She met Robert Irion in Miles City and they were married on November 14, 1954. Venita and Robert moved to Sheridan in 1962 where she happily lived for 56 years. Venita worked at Sheridan Ironworks before quitting to raise her two children. Venita did secretarial work for Irion Trucking and Dixon Brothers during this time. Venita enjoyed Bingo, knitting, working in her yard, trips to Arizona to see her sister and brother-in-law and making cards to send to her family and pen pals. These cards were loved by all. Her sarcasm and quick wit will be missed. Venita was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert. She is survived by her son, Douglas Lane Irion and his children, Travis and Truman; her daughter, Kristi Ann Milam (Bart) and her children Marissa (Caleb), Jarrett, Tucker and Baxter; her sister, Adeline Dockter (Emil); and nephews, Mike (Stephanie), Dan (Lauren), Jim (Chris) and Greg (Becky). Venita requested no service be held and to be buried in Broadus, Montana beside her husband.
