Keith (Pat) Hassey, 73, passed away on October 30, 2017 in Casper, WY. He was born on October 13, 1944 in Sheridan, WY to parents Andrew and Lillian (Oberg) Hassey . Pat earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History and became a school teacher and received the Distinguished Teacher Award in 1991. He retired from Denver Public Schools in 1997. He enjoyed anything that was history related, and was an avid Morgan Horseman.  Pat served in the United States Air Force from 1968 until 1973. He was the Exalted Ruler at the Elks Lodge #520 from 2002-2003. He also was the American Legion Department of Wyoming 2007-2008 Commander, the Sheridan Post 7 and the Commander for the Sons of American Legion several times in the last twenty years. He won numerous Awards with the National American Legion. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Hassey and Andrew Hassey both of Sheridan, WY. He is survived by his son Brian Hassey of Casper, WY, daughter Christy (Aaron) Sheedy, and granddaughter Caitlin Sheedy all of Lakewood, CO. A Memorial Service for Pat will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 1, 2018 at Kane Funeral Home with Father Ron Stolcis officiating.
