SHERIDAN — Donizetti’s opera “Maria Stuarda” will be shown at the WYO Theater, broadcast live from the Metropolitan Opera in New York, on Jan. 19.

“Maria Stuarda” is the story of Mary Stuart, also known as Mary, Queen of Scots, who lived in the 1500s. Mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato portrays the role of the doomed Mary.

David McVicar directs and Maurizio Benini conducts.

The opera starts at 10:55 a.m., but please arrive by 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors and military, $9 for students and $7 for children ages 12 and under.
