Local food presentation April 11

SHERIDAN — As part of Sheridan College’s sustainable food systems lecture series, a presentation on “Local Food as a Strategy for Economic Development” will be given April 11 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Sheridan College CTEL presentation hall.

The presenter will be Ken Meter, president of the nonprofit Crossroads Resource Center in Minneapolis, Minn. Meter specializes in devising tools that communities can use to create a more sustainable future.
This presentation will highlight the role of local food in economic development and suggest steps we can take to support our community through support of our farmers.

The presentation is free and open to the public.
