Media took it easy on Obama, Clinton

Re: Soviets, Pelosi, Democrat ‘hysteria’

Seems as if the national “news” media have a clear double standard. The Associated Press recently posted that “if Trump were anyone else, he’d be fired, or at least reprimanded, for his latest tweets attacking a female TV host, workplace experts say.”

I seem to recall a Democrat president who irrefutably had a sexual encounter with a young female intern while at “work” in the Oval Office in the White House.

Was he fired or even reprimanded for this indiscretion? He was impeached for lying under oath to a federal judge during a deposition. The Senate shamelessly refused to convict him of it during the impeachment process.

For over nine months, several congressional committees and the FBI have been investigating the Trump campaign for possible collusion with Russia. Now there’s even a special counsel (replete with a huge staff of Democrat lawyers) investigating the same matter, even though not one shred of evidence has yet been produced by the other investigations.

Where were all the media cries for a special counsel to investigate then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for her role in approving the sale of 20 percent of America’s uranium assets to Russia?

And where were they in 2012 when Barack Obama was caught whispering into a hot microphone to then-President of Russia Dmitri Medvedev “Tell Vladimir (Putin) I’ll have more flexibility after the election”?

Anyone in the media mention “collusion” with Russia in either of these instances?

Or how about a special counsel to investigate the Obama Administration for the ‘Fast and Furious’ scandal or the use of the IRS to attempt to deny tax exempt status to conservative political action committees?

Now we have the health care dust up. The media were fine with Speaker Nancy Pelosi saying back in 2009 “we have to pass the bill so you can see what’s in it.” But the media chastises Senate Republicans for crafting their current bill “in secret.”

And then there are the alarmist claims that 22 million people will lose their health care if this bill passes. This hogwash is based on CBO projections which, as Sen. Ron Johnson has pointed out, are produced by using a hopelessly outdated system of metrics. But that doesn’t stop the left-media from blaring forth the Democrat hysteria.

It’s starting to look as if our “mainstream” journalists are taking their reporting cues from the old Soviet media. Have they no shame?
