SHERIDAN — The Sheridan College Lady Generals volleyball team lost in four sets to Laramie County Community College at the Region IX tournament in Torrington Friday afternoon. The game was a loser-out game, so it wrapped up the season for team.
“They’re doing all right,” coach Jennifer Stadler said. “It’s one of those things where we fought really hard yesterday and the day before. We just lost a little gas today. They didn’t come out today with the fire that they had all week.”
The Lady Generals finished the season 20-16.
“It was, overall, a successful season, considering the fact that we had a poor season last year,” Stadler said. “I felt our team bought into my coaching philosophy, and our program, and worked hard to rebuild a winning tradition.”
Stadler said she is looking forward to the team’s program next year since there are 11 freshman on the team this year who will mature and improve as sophomores.
“We will hit it hard this spring and improve,” Stadler said. “I’m excited to see the future of this program.”
