SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Lady Broncs basketball team continued an impressive five-game run, beating Kelly Walsh (2-6) 60-44 Friday afternoon at the East-West Classic in Riverton.

Winners of their last five, all on the road, the Sheridan Lady Broncs are 8-1 entering their final game in Riverton today against Evanston.

Robbi Ryan led with 14 points, Alison Geary had 11 and Emily Julian and Taylor Townsend each scored 10.

The Lady Broncs close the tournament at 3 p.m., today against the Lady Red Devils.

For the No. 4 Broncs, a hot Kelly Walsh Trojans team was as advertised in a 73-50 affair.

Sheridan lost just its second game of the year, and its first to a team from Wyoming, dropping to 7-2.

Reed Ritterbusch scored 18 points, Dylan Daniels scored 10 and Judson White chipped in 11 in a game that was close until a Trojans 3-pointer at the buzzer to end the first quarter, making the score 16-12.

From there, Kelly Walsh grew its lead to 17 by the end of the half at 40-23.

Sheridan came out of the half quickly with Ritterbusch scoring five straight, but the Trojans balanced attack was too much and the Broncs trailed by as much as 25 for the rest of the way.
They never got within 20 after early in the third quarter.

Sheridan finishes a six-game road stretch with a 4 p.m. game today against defending state champ Evanston.

Sheridan teams return home next weekend with the Broncs hosting Billings Skyview Friday and the Lady Broncs hosting Natrona Saturday afternoon.
