Clarendon named
to Southwestern University dean’s list

STORY — Sadie Clarendon of Story has been named to the dean’s list at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, for the spring semester.

To be selected, students must have at least a 3.6 GPA.

Black Hills State University announces spring dean’s list

SHERIDAN — The Office of Academic Affairs at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D., has released its dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester.

Students must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or above to be named to the list.

Sheridan County students named to the dean’s list are:

Banner — Cole Gustafson and Morgan Mines
Dayton — Meghan Johnson
Sheridan — Matthew Adair, Raith Durham and Laura Redle.

Sheridan County students graduate from MSU

SHERIDAN — Montana State University in Bozeman, Mont., awarded diplomas to undergraduates May 4.
Baylee Gates of Sheridan graduated with highest honors. To graduate with highest honors, students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7.

Graduating with honors were Michael Alzheimer of Big Horn, Heather Bitney of Sheridan, Josh Disney of Sheridan and Erica Roman of Story.

To qualify for graduation with honors, students must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.25-3.69.
Michael Robinson of Ranchester and Jessica Bacon of Sheridan were among the other graduates.

Maxwell awarded certificate from Eastern Wyoming College

SHERIDAN — Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington held its commencement May 10.
Gary Maxwell of Sheridan was presented with a certificate.

Lake Area Tech announces
president’s list

SHERIDAN — Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown, S.D., announced that two students from Sheridan were named to its president’s list.

To be named to the list, a student must have achieved a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Garon Etchemendy and Michelle Homola were named to the list. Homola had a GPA of 4.0.

Jelly named to Dickinson State dean’s list

SHERIDAN — Ashley R. Jelly of Sheridan has been named to the spring Dickinson State University dean’s list in Dickinson, N.D.

In order to be placed on the dean’s list, students must have a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Holst on dean’s list at Birmingham-Southern College

SHERIDAN — Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Ala., has announced that Emily Holst of Sheridan was named to its dean’s list for the spring term.

To be considered for the dean’s list, a student must have earned at least a 3.5 GPA.

Lind awarded two scholarships

Due to original incorrect original information provided by Black Hills State University, the following is being reprinted.

SHERIDAN — Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D., has announced that Denim Lind of Sheridan was awarded the Coca-Cola Scholarship for $1,000 and a Buzz Bonus Scholarship for $4,000.
Lind is the daughter of Greg and Jackie Lind of Sheridan.
