SHERIDAN — Thorne-Rider Stadium will play host to the Legion Baseball ‘B’ State Tournament this weekend.

The Sheridan ‘B’ All-Stars and the defending champion Jets will both take part in the tournament that kicks off tomorrow.

Eight of the top B-division youth baseball teams will battle it out in a double-elimination tournament before crowning a champion on Saturday.

The ‘B’ All-Stars will start things off when they battle the top-seeded Gillette Rustlers at 1 p.m. tomorrow. The two-seeded Jets will play the nightcap against the Casper Roughnecks at 8:30 p.m.

Thursday, July 24

Game 1: 8 Sheridan All-Stars vs. 1 Gillette Rustlers – 1 p.m.

Game 2: 5 Cody vs. 4 Laramie Deputies – 3:30 p.m.

Game 3: 6 Jackson vs. 3 Cheyenne –     6 p.m.

Game 4: 7 Casper Roughnecks vs. 2 Sheridan Jets – 8:30 p.m.


Friday, July 25

Game 1 loser vs. Game 2 loser – 10am

Game 3 loser vs. Game 4 loser –       12:30 p.m.

Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner –    3 p.m.

Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 winner –    8 p.m.
