SHERIDAN — Holy Name Catholic School has formally been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The register is the nation’s official list of historic properties worthy of preservation.
The public is invited to dedication activities Friday at the school, 121 S. Connor St.
A presentation will be given by Mary Humstone, president of the Alliance for Historic Wyoming, at 10 a.m. in the HNCS gymnasium
The presentation will be followed by a reception and architectural tours of the building.
The construction of Holy Name Catholic School began in 1913 with the completed structure dedicated Sept. 5, 1914.
The cost, including the grounds and equipment, was $19,000.
