Harvest Moon doubles tourney set for this weekend

SHERIDAN — The fourth annual Harvest Moon Classic Doubles Tennis Tournament will be held Friday and Saturday at Sheridan High School.

An annual fundraiser for the SHS tennis team, the tournament pairs high school players with adult players, with partners drawn randomly from A or B divisions.

Cost is $15 for students and $25 for adults, and that includes beverages and a potluck lunch Saturday. Participants are asked to bring a main dish, salad or dessert to share.
Entries are due by Wednesday at 6 p.m., and the tournament has a limit of 48 players.
Call tournament director Bob Faurot at 751-5819 or Joanie Bennet at 672-6663 for more information.

Play begins at 4 p.m. Friday. If weather forces a cancellation of the event, the reschedule dates will be Oct. 25-27.
