Fuel up — gas prices lower than national average

SHERIDAN — Sheridan motorists running low on gas can take advantage of low gas prices this week. Sheridan gasoline stations are pricing unleaded gas at $3.26- $3.29 per gallon, which is lower than both the state and national average. According to gasbuddy.com, the statewide average price per gasoline in Wyoming is $3.31, while nationally, the average is $3.47.

Even though Sheridan’s prices are on the lower end of the national spectrum, they don’t compete with those of larger metropolises. Gas in Billings, Mont., is as low as $3.05, and in Casper, it’s $3.09.

The lowest state average price per gallon nationwide is $3.13 per gallon in South Carolina. The high is $4.11 in Hawaii.
