Fire-Rescue hosting 9/11 remembrance

SHERIDAN — On Sept. 11 at 7:58 a.m., the Sheridan Fire-Rescue Department will host a remembrance ceremony to honor those who died in the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the crash site in Shanksville, Pa.

All available emergency service personnel have been invited to assemble at attention at the flag pole at the fire station. This includes law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical technicians and other public servants.

The ceremony will include introductions, ringing of the station bell and a minute of silence.

The public is invited and welcome to stay for coffee and sharing stories about how their lives were affected by the events of Sept. 11, 2001.

The ceremony will be held at the Sheridan Fire-Rescue Department at 151 S. Scott St.
