SHERIDAN — Sheridan Fire-Rescue responded to a reported equipment fire at the parking lot of the Holiday Inn at approximately 7:45 a.m. this morning.
Crews arrived to find equipment used to seal asphalt driveways heavily involved in fire. A kettle used to heat the sealing material and a sweeper were destroyed in the fire.
A pickup used to pull the kettle was also damaged. Crews were on scene for approximately 45 minutes extinguishing the flames and cooling the equipment. The cause of the fire is under investigation by Sheridan Fire-Rescue at this time.
The equipment destroyed in this morning’s fire belongs to Hardrives Construction, Inc., of Billings.
The Sheridan Police Department and Rocky Mountain Ambulance were also dispatched to the scene. No injuries were sustained.
