It is important to know what the Bible says about handling our problems in this life. The times are not easy right now for many and I felt like folks might need a bit of encouragement from the word of God.
So who are the ones that should be able to overcome all the troubles of this world? All those that have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the living Son of God. You already know that if you faint in these days of adversity your strength is small; but remember you are of God (because of what Jesus has done for you) and you are therefore able to overcome, because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Know that whatever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory power that overcomes the world … our faith in Jesus Christ.
We are promised that there will be many afflictions, but the Lord will deliver us. Therefore no man should be moved by his afflictions, but rather endure them, knowing that those same afflictions have been, and are, upon others in this world also. You are not alone.
The Bible says that when I fall I shall arise again: and when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me. Scripture goes on to say that even if a just man falls seven times, yet he can and will rise up again, therefore I know with certainty that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. We must simply submit ourselves to God and trust in Him.
We are promised that if we resist the devil he will flee from us. And when we have tribulation we should be of good cheer because we know that Jesus has overcome this world. Therefore don’t be overcome because of evil, but overcome evil with good. And when you are in tribulation, turn to the Lord your God, and be obedient to His voice (for the Lord your God is a merciful and loving God) and He will not forsake you, neither will He destroy you, nor will He forget the covenant which He swore unto you as His child.
So to them that have an ear, let them hear what the Spirit says to the church (believers in Christ): to them that overcome, I will give to them to eat of the tree of life, which is in the middle of the Paradise of God, and they will not be harmed by the second death. I will give them to eat of the hidden manna and will give to them a new name, which no man knows except him that receives it. I will give to them power over the nations and will not blot out their names out of the book of life; instead I will confess their names before My Father, and before all His angels.
Yes, they that overcome will I make pillars in the temple of God and write upon them the name of God and the name of the city of God, which is the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from God and I will write upon them my new name. Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on His throne.
Remember you will inherit all good things and you shall be the sons and daughters of the living God. Therefore be patient in tribulation, continue to be steadfast in prayer realizing that tribulation works out patience. Do not forget that He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.
For when they are troubled, we will be able to give to them the same comfort that God has given us.
For the more we suffer with Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. We must all remember that even when we are weighted down with troubles; it is for our growing faith and comforting trust in God.
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love?
Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or endangered or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is already ours through Christ, who loves us.
I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow — not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
No power in the sky above or in the earth below — indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
