SHERIDAN — Entries for the 2014 Young Riders Rodeo are due by Saturday, according to organizers.
The event will be held at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds June 14 beginning with the grand entry at 9:30 a.m. The rodeo will begin at 10 a.m.
Four divisions will compete — Seniors (ages 14-18), Juniors (ages 10-13), Buckaroos (ages 5-9) and Peewees (up to 4 years of age).
Events will include chute doggin’, barrel racing, pole bending, breakaway roping, goat tying, steer riding, flag races, dummy roping, calf scrambles, fast lane dummy roping, stick horse racing and a boot race.
Entry fees range from free to $15 depending on the event.
There will also be an opportunity for youth to compete with an adult partner in team roping.
