SHERIDAN — Gabby Edeen won the 100 and 200 meters in Casper Friday at the Trojan Invitational and Shayla Christensen claimed first in the shot put to lead the Sheridan girls track team to a second-place finish.
Edeen posted times of 13.58 seconds in the 100 and 27.68 in the 200 to qualify for state in both events. She was also part of the 400 relay that took second and posted a time of 51.64. That time was also good enough to qualify for state.
Christensen easily won the shot put with a throw of 34 feet, 8 inches.
On the boys side, Michael Rotellini won the 800 with a time of 2:06.10. He also took second in the 1,600 with a time of 4:34.28.
Nate Kane posted a state qualifying time in the 100 with a time of 11.76.
As a team, the Broncs finished fourth.
Tongue River also had some athletes place at the meet.
Josia Huff, claimed first in the 400, with a time of 51.33.
Amanda Hutchinson took second in the 1,600 with a time of 5:43.21. In the 3,200, Courtney Jolovich placed second with a time of 13.57.16.
Both the Eagles and Lady Eagles took fifth in the meet.
