SHERIDAN — Aleya Dunning of Sheridan received the Merit Finalist award at the Miss Teen of Wyoming Pageant held July 19-21 at the Parkway Plaza Hotel and Convention Center in Casper.

Thirty-seven young women, ages 13-18, from across Wyoming participated in the event at which Shaylee Hixon of Burlington was named Miss Teen of Wyoming.

Each candidate was scored on scholastic record, achievement and service to school and community, general awareness written test, personal development of hobbies, talents and skills, personality projection in formal wear and interview.

Dunning is the daughter of Linette and J.C. Dunning of Sheridan. She was sponsored by Robyn’s Nest, Bella Bling, Re-Vamp Clothing, Bliss Yogurt, Security State Bank, Ruby Rays, Killy’s Deli and her family.
