Don King Museum

King’s Saddlery and King Ropes go hand-in-hand with Sheridan’s Western heritage, providing a complete western tack store to outfit true-blue cowboys and cowgirls from around the region, as well as visitors from around the world seeking to look the part and take home a bit of Wyoming.

Attached to the rope shop on Main Street is the Don King Museum. Packed with more than a century of Western and cowboy memorabilia, the museum represents the King family’s decades of dedication to preserving the region’s history.

Hundreds of saddles line the wall, and the museum also showcases wagons, coaches, Indian artifacts, guns, tack and original artwork, displaying how items like the goods sold in the rope and saddle shop have been used over the years.
