DAYTON — Dayton Town Council approved a renewal of a lease agreement with the Tongue River Valley Community Center in Dayton at its meeting Wednesday.
The new lease agreement allows the community center to rent its property from the town of Dayton for $0 per year, Dayton Mayor Bob Wood said. It specifies that the town of Dayton will maintain the outside of the building, while the community center will be responsible for maintaining the inside.
The board for the community center has already approved the renewed lease agreement, which will last 10 years, Wood said.
Sheridan City Clerk Scott Badley and Ranchester Town Councilman Peter Clark were on hand at the meeting for a question and answer session on the Capital Facilities Tax renewal up for vote Nov. 5. Wood said there were three people at the meeting, and no negative comments were made.
Wood announced that there will be another public meeting about the cap tax at the Chamber Coffee to be held at 8 a.m. Oct. 30 at the Tongue River Valley Community Center in Ranchester.
Wood also announced that the Northeast Wyoming Municipal Leaders will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the city hall in Gillette.
