CASPER (AP) — Authorities say wintry conditions caused two fatal crashes east and west of Casper.
Russ Dalgarn, Converse County’s emergency manager, tells The Casper Star-Tribune a man driving a tractor-trailer was killed when the vehicle skidded off a bridge on Interstate 25 near Glenrock on Monday morning. The truck driver’s name has not been released.

Meanwhile, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says 36-year-old Elizabeth J. Erickson of Riverton was driving on U.S. Highway 20/26 west of Casper on Monday afternoon when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a pickup truck in the opposite lane. Erickson was pronounced dead at the scene, and her passenger — a 16-year-old girl — was hospitalized.

Two people in the truck — a 53-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman — also were injured.
