LARAMIE (AP) — Wyoming coach Larry Shyatt is hoping his team can rest up and heal up before heading off for the Mountain West Tournament next week in Las Vegas.

The Cowboys ended their regular season with a 78-56 home loss to Colorado State Wednesday at the Arena-Auditorium. They won’t play again until the conference tournament where they likely will play Nevada in the play-in game on Tuesday.

UW (18-12 overall, 4-12 Mountain West) ended the regular season with a five-game losing streak. Nevada (12-17, 3-12) is the only league team that UW swept during the regular season.

Shyatt tells the Wyoming Tribune Eagle that the Cowboys are pretty beat up now.

Senior forward Leonard Washington has a lower back injury that has limited his play in the last two games.
