SHERIDAN — Carly Covill of Pinedale will join the Sheridan College women’s soccer team next fall.
Lady Generals head coach Stefan Skillman said she could fill several positions for the team.
“I grew up to love soccer,” Covill said. “I want to show people that even though I am from a small town I can still compete and can become somebody amazing.”
Covill was voted the Most Valuable Defensive Player her junior year of high school and she lettered for three years and has been starting varsity since her sophomore year.
“I feel that soccer will get me where I want to go,” Covill said.
“Covill is a great player that likes to have fun and will fit in with the team,” Skillman said. “Carly brings a great athletic ability, good leadership, and a desire to learn. She is a solid player who will challenge for a starting spot in a few different positions to provide depth and more competition between defense and midfield.”
