SHERIDAN — Peyton Hinn from Chadron, Nebraska, has signed her National Letter of Intent to join the Sheridan Generals women’s basketball team this fall.
“Hinn is a tremendous shooter that can play both the point guard and shooting guard position,” head coach Frank McCarthy said.
The 5-foot-8-inch guard averaged 12.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.6 steals per game while leading the Cardinals to three consecutive state tourney appearances, making All-Conference and All-State this past season. Hinn will leave Chadron High School scoring more than 1,000 points in her high school career while holding the school record for both steals and assists. Hinn was named Female Athlete of the Year at Chadron High School and was selected to play in the Pan-Handle Prep All-Star game held in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
Hinn joins a recruiting class that includes Sarah Rawlings from Tongue River, Shayna Kretschman from Arvada and Shayne Carter from Cheyenne East.
