SHERIDAN – The Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library will host an exhibit by Lisa Carroll for the month of January. Carroll’s photos will hang on the Fulmer Library Mezzanine through Jan. 29 according to a press release from Fulmer Public Library.

A reception for the artist is scheduled on , Jan. 8 from 4 – 6 p.m. Carroll will be available to answer questions at the event.

Carroll is a native of Sheridan County; she graduated from Tongue River High School and Sheridan College. Carroll’s early success in photography was a purple ribbon at the state 4-H show. Since those young years she has always had a camera in hand.

Her mother, who enjoyed taking pictures of the vegetable and flower garden grown on the family ranch, influenced Carroll.

She has dabbled in painting under Alice Fuller but is always drawn back to photography. The natural colors and lights of Wyoming inspire Carroll.

Photography has allowed Carroll to dream wondrous worlds and then capture them.

The artist reception is open to the public and refreshements will be available.
