Trail End State Historic Site holiday open house Dec. 2-4

SHERIDAN — The Trail End State Historic Site, or the Kendrick Mansion, will host a holiday open house on Dec. 2-4 from 4-7 p.m. The mansion will be fully decorated for the season with the sights, sounds and scents of Christmas in the early 1900s during the three-day event.

The event will feature live performances by local musicians and  figgy pudding.

Senior Center to present ‘Magic of Christmas’ shows @ Sheridan Senior Center
Dec 2 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Aires Choir will present “The Magic of Christmas” concert Thursday at 1:30 p.m. and Friday at 7 p.m. with special guest AJ Longhurst.

The cost to attend the performances is a suggested contribution of $2 at the door for the Thursday show and a suggested contribution of $6 for the Friday show, where dessert will be served before the performance.

To sign up for the evening show Friday, call the Sheridan Senior Center at 672-2240.

Artists to show off work at ‘Jentel Presents’ @ Sagebrush Community Art Center
Dec 6 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

SHERIDAN — Jentel will present its current artists in residence at the Sagebrush Community Art Center on Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.

The artists will give presentations about the art on which they are working at Jentel.

The event is free and open to the public.

Presenters for November include mixed media artist Mary Bergs of Minneapolis, Minnesota; found materials artist Lisa Hochstein of Santa Cruz, California; encaustic painter, Mona Monroe of Alta, Wyoming; essayist Catherine Jagoe of Madison, Wisconsin; novelist Lisa Lee of Los Angeles, California; and sculptor Andrew Redington of Berlin, Wisconsin.

Sheridan College choir to perform concert @ Whitney Center for the Arts
Dec 6 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan College choir will perform a concert “Community Sing” on Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Whitney Center for the Arts concert hall.

The concert will feature an arrangement of songs from the holiday favorite “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and other holiday classics arranged and edited by Christian Erickson of Sheridan College.

Tickets for the performance are available to purchase at the WYO Theater box office at $15 for adults, $10 for veterans and seniors and $5 for students.
