BHHS students to perform ‘Just a Little Crazy’ @ Big Horn High School

BIG HORN — The students of Big Horn High School will present “Just a Little Crazy,” their fall play, on Thursday and Friday.

At 7 p.m. daily the students will perform the tale of a girl and her parents who are in a big tizzy because they just moved into a turn of the century house, they are trying to remodel and the husband’s wacky sister comes to live with them. Misunderstandings, mixed feelings and hilarity ensue.

The play stars Kendall Meich, Trinity St. John, Joely Mueller, Karsyn Ulivarri, Colter Stanley and Makayla Morris and is directed by Monty and Carol Webb.

Tickets for adults are $2, students are $1 and BHHS students and children under 10 are free.

The performance will be held at the Big Horn Schools’ auditorium, located in the high school at 333 Highway 335, Big Horn.

Prisoner of Second Avenue @ Carriage House Theater

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Civic Theatre Guild will perform “The Prisoner of Second Avenue,” at the Carriage House Theater this weekend.

Dimitra Dugal will direct the dramatic play by Neil Simon in which a well-paid executive of a high-end Manhattan firm gets the ax. While things fall apart around the executive, he does the only thing he can — he has a nervous breakdown and it’s the best thing that ever happened to him.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students, seniors and active military. Tickets are available at the WYO Theater box office or by calling 672-9084. Tickets may also be purchased one hour before each of the performances.

Performances are set for Friday through Sunday and Nov. 21-23. Show times are 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Give With Impact @ Shall We Dance Ballroom

SHERIDAN — One local nonprofit is taking the “gift of giving” mantra one step further this year.

Bought Beautifully will present the “Give With Impact” holiday market from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Shall We Dance Ballroom.

The holiday gift market will feature products made by artisans all over the world, but that come only from vendors that help make a positive impact on the global community.

UMC ‘Holiday Express’ craft bazaar @ United Methodist Church

SHERIDAN — The United Methodist Women will host the annual “Holiday Express” bazaar Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Lunch of sloppy joes wind homemade pies will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The “Closet” will be open and booths of baked goods, crafts, oldies and goodies as well as a children’s shopping room will be included in the bazaar.

All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Methodist women’s mission projects.

Pipberry Market

SHERIDAN — The Pipberry Market will be held Friday from 4-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The market will feature crafts, upcycled furniture, baked goods and candies, holiday decorations, children’s gifts and more.

WYO Theater 25th anniversary celebration @ WYO Theater

SHERIDAN — The WYO Theater will host a 25th anniversary celebration for volunteers, patrons and the Sheridan community on Saturday.

WYO Theater staff and board members invite the community to an evening of memories, music and surprises. The event will begin at 7 p.m.

Tickets are complimentary, and may be obtained by calling the theater at 672-9084. Organizers ask community members to RSVP by Tuesday.

Artist reception for David Jones @ Sagebrush Community Art Center

SHERIDAN — The two- and three-dimensional art by David Jones will be on display at the Sagebrush Community Art Center through Friday.

An artist reception for the show, titled “Scale, Metaphor and Visual Props: Works Addressing Place” will be held Thursday from 5-7 p.m.

Auditions for “Laughter-Always the Best Medicine” @ Carriage House Theater

SHERIDAN — Director Pat Tomsovic will be holding open auditions for “Laughter-Always the Best Medicine,” a selection of seven one-act plays to be performed April 23-26 and April 30-May 3 at the Carriage House Theater.

Auditions will be March 1 at 2 p.m. and March 2 at 7 p.m.

Those who wish to audition will be reading directly from the scripts, so no preparation beforehand is necessary.

The plays to be performed include:

• “Supreme Beings Create the World” by Mo Gaffney and Kathy Najimy

• “Post-its” by Paul Dooley

• “Wanda’s Visit” by Christopher Durang

• “The Flying Wolimskies Return” by David Smilow

• “Rosa’s Eulogy” by Richard Strand

• “Chocolate” by Frederick Stroppel

• “The Blueberry Hill Accord” by Daryl Watson

Tomsovic will be assisted by veteran CTG director Norleen Healy. All interested actors are encouraged to attend.
