Ackita Win meeting @ Designing Dinners

Public Rosary Crusade

SHERIDAN— A public square rosary crusade is gathering on Saturday at noon on the corner of Main and Burkitt. This is meant to bring people together to pray for America as a nation. Candidate Forum @ Whitney Presentation Hall/Sheridan College

SHERIDAN—Election day is Nov. 4 and there will be another candidate forum next Tuesday and Wednesday. This is an opportunity for candidates to share their views with the public. Candidates for local positions will speak on Tuesday and state and federal candidates will speak on Wednesday. Both forums are in the Whitney Presentation Hall at the Sheridan College, 3059 Coffeen Ave. at 7 p.m.

Sheridan AARP chapter meeting @ Sheridan Senior Center

SHERIDAN — The local Sheridan AARP chapter will host its monthly meeting tonight at the Senior Center at 5:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the pubic and attendees are encouraged to bring a covered dish to share. Dan Lick from the People Assistance Food Bank will address members of the meeting about the community’s needs and how the AARP can help. AAUW 100th Anniversary Celebration @ Best Western Sheridan Center

SHERIDAN—The Sheridan Chapter of the AAUW is having their 100th anniversary on Saturday. The event is at the Best Western Sheridan Center, 612 N. Main St. from Noon until 2 p.m. Open to everyone, there will be a lunch as well as a live auction. Tickets are $35 per person. Local congressional office hours @ Sheridan YMCA

SHERIDAN — Field representatives for Wyoming’s congressional delegation will host office hours Wednesday at the Sheridan County YMCA.
The office hours provide area residents an opportunity to discuss issues, views, questions and concerns with the field representatives. The comments and concerns will be relayed to Sens. Mike Enzi and John Barrasso and Rep. Cynthia Lummis.
The office hours will be held from 11 a.m. to noon.
The Sheridan County YMCA is located at 417 N. Jefferson St.

Sheridan County Historical Society @ Holy Name Parish

SHERIDAN—The Sheridan County Historical Society will hold their annual meeting Thursday at the Holy Name Parish Center at 260 E. Loucks St. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. with a short business meeting followed by a program presented by Warren Mischke. The event is free and open to the public. Mischke will have a presentation focusing on the history of elk in the Bighorn Mountains. Mischke is a retired Wyoming Game and Fish professional with 36 years of experience. His career began at the fish hatchery in Tensleep before moving throughout the state with postings in Star Valley, Rock River, and Sundance. He transferred to Sheridan as an Information Specialist.
