“Behind the Scenes Saturday” and “Tidbit Saturday” @ Sheridan County Museum

The Sheridan County Museum will present “Behind the Scenes Saturday” and “Tidbit Saturday” this weekend.

This free event is open to all with no reservations required.

The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for a behind-the-scenes view at the museum’s operations.

The public is invited to come and see what goes on at the museum when the galleries are closed.

Attendees will see how employees take down old exhibits, care for the items entrusted to the museum and prepare new items and galleries for new exhibits.

There will also be Tidbit activities for children and parents.

Tidbit, the SCM Mouse, can be found in each exhibit at the museum and likes to share fun tales and treasures of Sheridan County’s history and children ages 5 to 10 are invited to attend with their parent or guardian for a variety of activities.

The museum is located at 850 Sibley Circle, off of the Fifth Street exit of Interstate 90.

Free fly tying class @ Sheridan Downtown Association community room

SHERIDAN — The Little Bighorn Chapter of Trout Unlimited will host a free fly tying class Saturday.

From 1-3 p.m. all members of the community are welcome to join a group of local professional tyers to learn basic skills for new tyers.

Attendees are encouraged to bring tools and a vice if they have them, however, 10 vices will be available for those who need it.

The event will be held at the Sheridan Downtown Association community room located on the corner of Main Street and Coffeen Avenue.

Forever Plaid @ WYO Theater

The WYO Theater and Sheridan Civic Theater Guild will present “Forever Plaid,” a play by Stuart Ross. Performances will be held at the WYO March 20-23 and 27-30. Thursday-Saturday nights performances commence at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays will be presented at 2 p.m. Comical musical “Forever Plaid” stars Ryan Koltiska, Philip Garber, AJ Longhurst and Michael Gonda as a young men’s singing group in the 50’s who are killed on the way to their first big performance and return to fulfill their dreams. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, students and active military. Tickets may be purchased at the box office located inside the theater at 42 N. Sheridan College Interdisciplinary Art House presentation @ Whitney Atrium of Sheridan College

SHERIDAN — On Saturday, the Sheridan College Interdisciplinary Art House will be presenting a performance involving visual art, theater and music. Inspired by Shel Silverstein’s poem “Reflection,” this innovative show is the culmination of a cooperative workshop between college and high school students and staff. The Big Horn Mountain Eagles #4169 Ladies Auxiliary will host a breakfast on Sunday. From 8-10 a.m. sausage gravy and biscuits, ham, eggs, fruit and beverages will be served. Big Horn Historical Society potluck and program @ Big Horn Woman’s Club clubhouse

SHERIDAN — The Big Horn Historical Society will host a potluck and program Sunday.

The free meeting is open to all members of the community.

The potluck will begin at 1 p.m. at the Big Horn Woman’s Club clubhouse.

Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share.

At 1:50 p.m. Lois Hall will present a program on ranching on the Powder River and guests can arrive at this time if they choose not to participate in the potluck.

The clubhouse is located at 314 S. Second St., Big Horn.
