Steve Johnson presentation @ room 153 of the Whitney Building at Sheridan College

The Sheridan College art department will host visiting artist Steve Johnson Wednesday through Friday. Johnson is an assist professor of drawing at College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C. On Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in room 153 of the Whitney Building he will provide a presentation of his work and his creative process. This event is free and open to the public. On Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. he will spend the day working on unfinished drawings in the art wing hallway. Interested students and members of the public are encouraged to observe the evolution of his work throughout the day. On Friday from 12:30-4:30 p.m. he will conduct an experimental drawing workshop. More examples of his work will be exhibited in the fine arts wing gallery starting tomorrow and remaining through March 15. Wyoming Archaeological Society meeting @ Le Gourmet Room of Holiday Inn

The Sheridan-Johnson County chapter of the Wyoming Archaeological Society will meet Thursday in the Le Gourmet Room of Holiday Inn. All members of the community are invited to this free event. At 6:00 p.m. attendees may order dinner off the menu, but no purchase is required to attend. Following dinner at approximately 7:15 p.m. Forest Service archaeologist Bill Matthews will present an update on his fieldwork in the Big Horn Mountains over the past three years. Attendees not desiring dinner may arrive at this time. Matthews and a group of volunteers recorded over 30 prehistoric sites as well as a turn of the century mining district, specifically in the Cloud Peak Wilderness. Parent Partnership meeting @ Sheridan High School library

Trail End Guilds meeting @ Trail End State Historic Site
